"Remember the light and believe in the light..."
In the confines of a dark room, a nameless woman descends deeper and deeper into depression. In her mind, she tortures herself with thoughts of confusion, rage and insecurity. She waits for the end of the fourth hour of every morning, where for the briefest of moments, everything becomes clear...or does it?
To close KLPac's Black Box Festival, Gavin Yap will direct the talented Susan Lankester, Samantha Schubert and Malik Taufiq in the last play written by acclaimed playwright Sarah Kane, 4.48 Psychosis.
4.48 Psychosis is a shocking, yet imaginative porthole into the mind of a mentally ill woman. A beautifully crafted, detailed work of the imagination, Kane's courageous examination of her own illness and despair makes this an important piece in the literature of psychosis and a very interesting watch for theatre goers.
Audiences are now invited to take a trip through a mind slowly spiralling out of control...
